Prep Discovery Day!
On Friday, we welcomed pre-school children and their families to Westholme Prep for the final time this academic year!
Once we had all said hello to each other, we listened to a song all about minibeasts! After singing along, we read Julia Donaldson’s ‘Superworm’ and enjoyed spotting all the different kinds of minibeasts in the story…we even talked about our favourite ones! Miss Hawkins then challenged the children to hunt for minibeasts in William’s Wood and in the sensory herb garden using a checklist.
All the children did a super job of looking closely with the magnifying glasses and even had the opportunity to dress up as a minibeast with a character mask!
