The annual Sports Awards Dinner took place on Friday 3rd May at Ewood Park where staff, parents and players from all year groups gathered to celebrate the achievements and success of the last 12 months of the sporting calendar.
We were delighted to welcome Tom Spencer, English professional rugby league footballer, as our guest presenter and speaker. Tom, who plays as a prop for the Leigh Centurions in the Betfred Championship, enjoyed answering an array of questions from the record number of students attending this year’s event.
There were dance performances by several students and an array of awards recognising the achievements of so many students this year, as well as a speech by the Sports Captains and Mrs Horner.
Everyone enjoyed the fabulous dinner provided by Northcote at The Rovers and the evening concluded with the obligatory disco.
There were thanks and gifts from the players to the PE staff for their time and commitment throughout the year and we must thank all the PE staff for their hard work to ensure everything went so smoothly.
