The Importance of Being Earnest
On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, audiences were treated to a delightful performance of Oscar Wilde’s famously witty and whimsical play “The Importance of Being Earnest”.
With only a limited number of tickets on sale, the seating in the Croston Theatre had been set up to create cabaret style seating plan for a relaxed atmosphere around the stage.
The story centres on the tale of friends Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, who both assume alter egos, and the adventures that they have along the way with a range of characters.
There were plenty of laughs, with both sets of casts performing their lines brilliantly, setting the scene and bringing the story vividly to life.
Thank you to all cast and staff members involved for putting on such an excellent evening of entertainment. Bravo!
