The boys and girls in Year 5 enjoyed a fabulous interactive African drumming workshop with specialist, Mr Ian Bamford today.
During the workshop, the students learnt how the Djembe drums are made and the different techniques required to play them.
They began with some sound and rhythm games and then learnt some simple drumming exercises.
At the end of the session, students performed pieces using many different rhythm patterns.
Thank you to Mr Bamford for this excellent session, great fun was had by all!
