Students enjoy a taste of Senior School
Over 30 Year 5 pupils from local primary schools visited Westholme to experience a day in the life of a Senior School student and had the opportunity to sample some of the learning possibilities.
After getting to know each other through a series of ice breaker activities in the Theatre, the day started with problem solving in Maths and learning about The Battle of Hastings in History. Half of the children then spent a double lesson in Food Preparation where they baked delicious fruit muffins whilst the other half replicated GCSE work by making seascape collages in Art.
A Westholme lunch was enjoyed by all before tours of the Senior School and team games.
During the afternoon the children practised their Spanish then headed back to the Theatre to meet their parents and tell them all about their day.
It was lovely to welcome so many new faces to school and we hope to see you all again soon.
