We have had fun at our Eastern Adventures Taster Day today for Year 4 and 5 students.
Our themed Taster Days are always popular with both our own Junior School pupils and children welcomed from other Primary schools. The day offers families the opportunity to visit Westholme and see it in a more informal light.
Year 4 and 5 students spend some time in the classrooms experiencing first hand some of the exciting lessons on offer at Westholme, meeting our amazing teachers and making new friends.
The children have enjoyed designing beautiful Chinese lanterns using Product Design and Art skills, where they have constructed the 3D lantern and then drawn detailed designs on acetate ready to apply to the lantern.
In Food Preparation & Nutrition they made a noodle dish in true takeaway style and in the classroom they have had an introduction to the Russian language.
All part of a normal day at Westholme School!
Thank you to all of the children for coming along and to the staff involved in helping to run the day.
