Fun Family Sports Day

Families flocked to Westholme in the sunshine on Saturday for the Family Sports Day

For the first time, we were delighted to host a Family Sports’ Day at the Senior School on the last Saturday in June. The sun shone, families flocked in, and there was much fun to be had! Serious contenders for the tennis tournament arrived in competitive spirit to play a round robin, whilst the bowling on the Astroturf entertained the young and old alike. Perhaps the hit of the day was the Mini Olympics, run expertly by our Sixth Form girls and the PE staff. Little ones as well as highly competitive dads all came together to do activities as diverse as sucking up peas through a straw, welly throwing and even performing the limbo! It was a really relaxed day with many generations all joining in.  Plenty of our Alumni turned up too and Mrs Croston had a great time chatting to all her former pupils. The day ended with a prize presentation, accompanied by afternoon tea and Pimms, which all went down a storm.
