Last week was National ‘anti-bullying week’; the theme this year being ‘All Different, All Equal’. It was discussed during Assembly and also during form time for the rest of the week to discover what makes all our students unique; it was a chance to celebrate their differences.
At Infant and Junior Schools the children had Odd Socks Day on Wednesday. This was a day designed to be lots of fun and designed to give the children an opportunity to express themselves and appreciate their individuality and the individuality of others.
Throughout the week, the pupils celebrated their differences and unique attributes as well as carrying out activities within the classroom focused on these themes. Encouraging tolerance and open mindedness in relationships, our outlook, thoughts and deeds underpin our pastoral ethos; this year’s theme is therefore close to our Westholme heart.
