Prep R learn to roll sheep fleeces!
Following Prep R’s visit to Sharples Farm back in the Spring Term, on Thursday they welcomed Mrs Burns to Westholme.
Mrs Burns was also Prep R’s ballet teacher at the start of the academic year, and they have loved the opportunity to learn about her life on the farm too! During Prep R’s visit to Sharples Farm, the children got to learn lots about lambing and got the chance to help feed the lambs. Mrs Burns’ offer of rolling the new fleeces was too good for us to miss!
Prep R children loved hearing how sheep are sheared and learned how to roll the fleeces carefully. What a super opportunity!
