Super Learning Day

Billinge House children enjoy a Super Learning Day

Every day is a Super Learning Day at Billinge House, but over the past two days, something extra special has been going on!  All of our infants have been on a journey to explore different learning styles: visual, auditory and kinaesthetic, through a carousel of exciting multi-sensory activities.  There was a buzz or excitement as the children visited different teachers in different locations around Billinge House.  “This is the best day ever!” Azura Cains, age 5 told Mrs Bolton, on her way to her  next session.

Monday was a special day for Years One and Two with children visiting Mrs Milnes for amazing aerobics, Mrs Barrett for Yoga and relaxation, Mrs Moores-Hart delivered a collaboration of musical art, Mrs Foster took the children on a treasure hunt and Mrs Dixon explored imagination through creating stick stories.  In addition to this, Mr Chamberlain delivered team work, co-operation and critical thinking skills sessions in the hall.

On Tuesday, Pre-School and Reception children enjoyed a similarly spectacular array of activities.  Mrs Rogers thoroughly enchanted the children with sensory stories, Mrs Brown  explored a parachute, Memory games got the children thinking with Miss Byrom, Mrs Sutcliffe took them on an outdoor adventure, Mrs Hearle calmed the children with Yoga and relaxation and Mrs Fielding gave them a technological musical treat.  In addition to this, Mr Chamberlain delivered the skills sessions in the hall.

These really have been Super Learning Days… We are sure that the children will be ready for the holidays!
