Year 6 enjoy a talk about World War II
As part of their studies on World War Two, Year 6 welcomed Mrs Mills, grandparent to Poppy Blackhurst in Year 4.
She spoke to the girls about her experiences of growing up as a ”˜war baby’ and brought in several items for them to look at, including a gas mask and a ration book.
As the girls had been working on an extended project about this subject, Mrs Mills’ visit really enriched their knowledge and they enjoyed asking many questions. Thank you to Mrs Mills for sharing her experiences.
